Honey and Cinnamon Butter (Sugar Free)

My husband and I have loved having American pancakes for breakfast recently. I've been looking for some different options when it comes to adding toppings to the pancakes as I tend to steer well clear of "pancake syrup" which is no doubt full of processed crap.

Maple syrup is hard to come by here in Cairo so our current favourite topping has been butter with honey. So a thought came to me, why not make a flavoured butter with honey?

I added some cinnamon to give it a bit more punch and it tastes pretty good. I've also tried this butter on toast and on a jacket sweet potato and both options were delicious.

Ingredients:

100g butter at room temperature
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp of cinnamon

1) Combine all ingredients together in a bowl until a smooth paste forms.
2) Transfer onto grease proof paper into a rough sausage shape.
3) Roll up and then twist the ends (like a christmas cracker, see photo above) to form a neat and even cylindrical shape, store in the fridge.
